Erik Graded to Junkenshi Shodan

On Saturday 11th of December there as a dan examination in Gothenburg.
We were three people from our branch that travelled down to Gothenburg early on the Saturday morning. The three were Anders Pettersson, our branch’s shibu-chō, who also should be one of the examiners, and Erik Öhrn who was going to do his grading. Joining in to the trip to Gothenburg was also Pelle Svensson.

First info about the European Taikai in Monaco

A first information from Aosaka-sensei about the European Taikai in Monaco.

Dear Shorinji kenshi, dear country representatives,
As Head of the WSKO’s European Office, and following deliberations with WSKO President Ms. Yuki So, I am honored to announce the dates and location of the next European Taikai: it will be held from June 3to 5, 2011 in Monaco, at the Stade Louis II, 3 avenue des Castelans.

Start up after Summer

The autumn term is about to start and we will kick off with the children’s group on Thursday 26th of August. We welcome new members from the 31st of August.
New members can try out training for a whole month if you pay the membership fee of 200:-, which also include insurance.
For current members, it is time to pay the autumn training fee, 300:- for children and 600:- for those over 13 years. Payment is preferably done to the branch’s PlusGiro 4863329-1.

Gradings to 3rd kyū and 4th kyū

Kyū-gradering i juni 2010.On Thursday, 24th of June, we had a kyū grading. It was Christopher and Magnus who tested for yonkyū (4 kyū) and we had Johan and Carl, who did the test for sankyū (3 kyū).
Everyone did a very good job and passed their test without any problems.
