Shorinji Kempo Karlstad Shibu is a non-profit sports club (in Swedish this is called “ideell idrottsförening”) and none of our instructors get paid, all fees goes to run the branch, pay rent for the dōjō, buy equipment etc. The club was formally established November 9, 1984, but had been operating for almost a year before that. Read more about the club’s history here. The branch has a relatively large exchange internationally, therefore, our website is in both Swedish and English.
For the training and for gradings etc. the branch’s shibu-chō (main instructor, branch master) Anders Pettersson is responsible.
Concerning other matters it is the branch’s democratically elected board that are in charge of the branch’s activities.
