Time to start practicing again
On Tuesday January 12th we start practicing again!
This is an excellent opportunity for new members to start practicing, or just come and pay us a visit if you’re curious. It is also perfectly fine to come by at a later day, just notify us in advance so that we can make sure we take care of you when you come. Maja and Fredrik Graded
Additional grading and handing out of bukai sodesho
Grading for 6th, 5th & 2nd kyu
On Thursday the 3 of December we had an additional grading for our juniors, this time it was for a little higer rank.
Emil and Amanda H graded to 6 kyu, Stina, Tuva-Lill, Amanda S and Alvin graded to 5 kyu and Neo graded to 2 kyu. Neo is the first kenshi in Karlstad Shibu that reach as high as 2 kyu as a child.
Grading for 7th & 8th Kyu
On Tuesday the 1st of December we had a grading for 7th and 8th kyu (yellow belt) for a number of our juniors.
Vincent, Olle, Vide and Alicia all tested for 8th kyu (yellow belt, 1 chevron) then we had Krisitian and Musashi who graded for 7th kyu (yellow belt, 2 chevrons).
Good Efforts by many from Karlstad at this Year’s National Taikai
On the 7th of November we had the National Taikai. This year we had many younger participants from Karlstad Shibu, which was really nice to see. For next year we hope that a few more adults and teenagers also can participate. In total from Karlstad Shibu we were 16 kenshi who entered the competitions and one serving as judges. New Green Belts
On the Thursday the 29th of October we had a grading for Tilda and Anna-Lovisa. Both of them did really well and they passed their grading to 6 kyū and can now change their yellow belts to green ones.
A big Congratulations to Tilda and Anna-Lovisa!
Per Graded to Yondan
At the European Koshukai in Lisbon in the beginning of October there was also dan examinations for higher dan grades.
